install process question dual boot option

Install process question: Dual boot an option?

From some of the discussions here, I'm wondering,...when I install from the DVD, will I be presented with the option of installing Vista as a secondary OS, and optionally booting to either it or my current XP install?

Hi,
Yes, just choose custom and you can choose where to install it as a secondary OS. The boot menu will be created to allow you to boot to Vista or the "legacy" operating system.

If you boot from the DVD make sure you have a logical partition created. I recommend launching setup from within Windows XP and selecting a dedicated partition, Vista will place its boot loader on the primary partition which is C: -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
